Design and Creativity Strategist

Business strategist, design director, graphic designer, entrepreneur and educator, Denise Anderson is Creative Matters’ primary driving force. Her finely tuned analytical ability, penetrating perception, creativity, and visual versatility are the natural result of her 20 years experience in the business of design, branding and business development. In addition to her vast professional experience, Anderson’s holds a Masters degree in design management from Pratt Institute in New York.

As founder and president of DMA, an award-winning creative firm, Anderson produced corporate brand strategies and design programs for national and international clients, such as the New York Stock Exchange, Pershing and Trans World Marketing. Before establishing DMA, Anderson served as vice president and art director for David Morris Design Associates, and art director and account executive for DBD International.

The former president of the Art Directors Club of New Jersey (1998-2000), Anderson now serves as a trustee on the Kean University Visual Communications Advisory Board. She is a member of the New York Chapter of AIGA and the Design Management Institute and an adjunct professor in Kean University's Department of Design. Anderson has written two trade publications, Creative Jolt and Creative Jolt Inspirations, which she designed and co-authored with Robin Landa and Rose Gonnella for Northlight Publications. Anderson has conducted lectures on the subject of creativity at Fortune 500 companies. In addition to lecturing, she writes articles on design and creativity and the value they bring to business.
